Big Finish audio drama, January 2008
The biggest disappointment about this audio is that there is no information to bring her into the story. Instead, it’s just like Lucy has been with the Doctor forever. Not a problem if this is the first audio you’ve listened to but if you’ve heard season 1, it seems like a bit of a jump. A shock to the listeners, in my mind. But other than that, I think it was a good introduction to the Lucy and Doctor second season!
It wasn’t a total shock that everything is happening inside the head of the bad guy, though. I think that’s been used before. But it was a fun way to make it so the inhabitants could turn on their captors! Though what happened to the bad guy? Did the Doctor leave it behind or give it to someone? Overall, a good little story where Lucy and the Doctor get to do their own thing, meet some inhabitants of the various timelines, then meet up again and solve the problem. Nothing amazing or special but very good overall.
