Big Finish 8th Doctor New Adventures 4.08, January 2011
Even without a companion the 8th Doctor can get himself in and out of trouble with ease, though he has to spend some time finding it, that’s for sure. I found this story to be a rousing success, with more unexpected plot twists than a mobius strip. I honestly expected some duplicity at “the rescue” part of the story but wow, things get really warped and crazy. There isn’t a lot I can say without giving away plot points but the liquid guardians are a nice touch. And once again, the TARDIS comes to the Doctor’s rescue, ultimately. Perhaps the populations’ rescue, really! Well worth a listen in this the last season of the 8th Doctor New Adventures. A fun and unique adventure!
