This is a major 5 hankie ending. And I thought that A Death in the Family was a hand-wringer! This is a totally different and even more heart-wrenching in a different way. It’s difficult to describe without giving away the story, though I will say that Paul McGann’s Doctor and David Tennant’s Doctor have the crazy, injured side to them in common now. Well, relatively speaking, that is. I would just advise you not to listen to this somewhere that you don’t want to cry – I made that mistake and I was just a mess for at least half an hour afterwards. What a way to end the 8th Doctor New Adventures!
