Big Finish audio adventure, September 2008
A bit too short but at the same time, longer might not have been much better. But I started to get confused as to who was who – who is Captain Andrea Winnington? Where does she come into this? What or who is ISIS? I don’t think Colonel Emily Chaudhry is totally off base when she’s suspicious of the new hand of friendship the Silurians are offering. The Brigadier’s involvement is good but also there to get people interested. Not that I blame Big Finish on that one!
But I can’t say that this audio piques my interest like it should. I have questions but they don’t make me want to jump up and buy the rest of the series. I liked it but it’s almost too sparse to really intrigue me. Nice teaser story but actually, the torturing of the reporter is more interesting than the Brigadier’s story. And how the heck does the reporter get to the Captain to begin with? Wasn’t he escorted off the premises?
