The Many Deaths of Jo Grant (#6.04)

  Big Finish, Companion Chronicles

The repetitive nature of this story isn’t obvious at first but it gets a bit peculiar quickly.  What exactly is the point of the story?  Why does Jo Grant keep dying?  The mystery deepens as she seems to wake up in an alien laboratory and death looms again.  The one constant in her 429 deaths is the Doctor and her dedication to him.  I’m usually a huge fan of Mark Wright and Cavan Scott’s writing but this one was good but not as riveting as usual (Project: Twilight/Lazarus/Destiny and The Church and The Crown).  A good story but not one I will listen to over and over.
