Warm Blood (12.4)

Big Finish Jago and Litefoot Series

And here we come to the concluding story of the set, with Ellie Higson most obviously leading Jago and Litefoot into a trap. The first few tracks have the pair following Ellie to see what she’s up to, making sure she’s not a vampire is a tricky business! Then she leads them to the trap the Old One set, in a most obvious manner, so that Litefoot takes some precautions at least.

So Ellie then finally shows them the painting and explains her issue with them killing her brother. Then the real challenge begins as the friends now have to fight for their lives. Though, mind you, they never come armed for such confrontations in a proper manner nor do they ever seem to have a lot of villains to kill. Though the end of this one’s teeming with vampires! And Ellie finally figures out she was wrong. Hopefully this puts to rest the vampiric tendencies of Ellie, though they could absolutely bring them back if they had a need. These stories seem to be more about our heroes dodging the villains and fixing the problems instead of confronting them head on. But perhaps because that’s just not their modus operandi and they aren’t the killing type? Still love them, though! Awesome stuff.
