The Year of the Bat (10.2)

Big Finish Jago and Litefoot Series

If I could give this story more than 5 jelloids I would. It’s just genius! Mary Poppins-like nannies with their umbrellas stealing unwanted children for food? A giant bat giving them life and the ability to fly? The Yesterday Box where J&L can write notes to themselves as youngsters? This story is fantastic in everyway! The Nannies they defeated in their 20s have come back to seek their revenge. So J&L must write notes to their previous selves while they tell the story in the present. Each note they send adds a piece to the story and their memory. I almost applauded at work when the umbrella toting nannies turned out to be bad guys. Perhaps I don’t see enough British TV but I’ve never hear of anyone making Mary Poppins the villain and it makes perfect sense here. Fantastic!
